I first started doing yoga about 6 years ago and was lucky enough to have Annette as my teacher.  As someone who related excersise to an intense cardio workout it was a difficult transition for me to make but necessary as I was dealing with a herniated disc and two bulging discs in my lower back.  Annette took the time to modify poses for me and always reinforced that yoga was a personal experience.  I was always comfortable in class doing the poses at my own level where it would benefit me most and never made to feel like I wasn’t stretching far enough or working hard enough.  The atmosphere that Annette created within her class lead to an inner calm that I had never experienced. Within a short time I began noticing a huge improvement in my pain as well as an increase in my flexibility making my daily life as well as my work as a hairstylist far easier.   I recommend Annette and Serenity Yoga to all my clients, friends and family as I am positive that if those people are to try a class they will have the best experience and guidance available.   Yoga has played a huge role in maintaining my health both physically and emotionally and truly believe it can be helpful for anyone.  Serenity Yoga is the best place to discover the possibilities that the practise of Yoga can offer you.

Annette is always positive and connects with each of the students in her class.  She refers to our class as "yoga practice" and recognizes that everyone comes to class for different reasons. Annette encourages each of us to set an intention at each class for our own yoga practice.

She accepts the ability of each of her students recognizing that each of our bodies are different.

She tells us that everyone will look different in a pose and that is okay. She tells us to gently encourage our body to move further into a pose once the gate is opened.

 Every class is different but all classes include the 7 major posture groups of a complete yoga practice.

Annette with her calm and soothing voice has an amazing way of helping you relax at the end of class which lets your whole body and mind find balance to take with you as you leave the studio.
