
Beginner / Gentle
If you're new to yoga or just prefer a more gentle class then this is for you. This class is designed to introduce basic yoga concepts, postures and breathing techniques in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Intermediate
In this class you will explore a wider range of postures to develop strength and flexibility and also a deeper understanding of the spirit of yoga. Previous yoga experience is helpful but not necessary. Students are encouraged to participate in the class according to their own comfort level taking modifications when needed.
Long and Strong
Students up for more of a challenge will explore more advanced postures to develop strength, stamina, flexibility and alignment in their bodies while cultivating a relaxed and peaceful state of mind. This class incorporates some flow/vinyasa. Modifications are always shown to suit the individual. Previous yoga experience and knowledge of the basic poses is recommended.
Restorative/Yin Yoga
This style of longer held stretching and relaxation poses makes use of props such as blocks, blankets, pillows, etc to feel supported while releasing deeply held tension in the body and mind. It also helps to restore energy and calm the nervous system. You will leave feeling lighter, looser, refreshed and relaxed. This class is suitable and beneficial for everyone, no matter what their level of yoga experience.
Vinyasa Flow Yoga
A steady paced flow that will keep you moving by linking breath & postures together. Classes will build heat, strength, flexibility & balance in the mind & body.
Mom and Baby Yoga
A specialized class for Moms with their Babies taught by a certified pre/post natal instructor. Focus is on postpartum reconditioning, as well as gentle Yoga for Baby near the end of each class. This is a great way to connect with your baby, get some yoga in for yourself and meet other new moms! (for babies up to crawling age)
Prenatal Yoga
A gentle class led by a certified pre/post natal instructor focusing on alleviating pregnancy discomfort and preparing the body for labour/birth which will also allow for a speedier recovery after birth. Specific prental poses, combined with yogic breathing will offer a balance of strengthening and relaxation necessary for birth ... and for life.
