It is the union of the mind, body and spirit functioning together in harmony

I first fell in love with Yoga while pregnant in 1998 and have never looked back. Self-taught for a number of years, I benefitted in many ways physically, mentally and spiritually from my own personal practice that kept me coming back to my mat time and time again. I decided to take the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training program with the Forest Academy of Mind Body Medicine in 2007 and it was there that I met my beloved Teachers Gary and Holly Huffman. My love for all things Yoga grew immeasurably and I added a twice daily meditation practice that has become the foundation of my life. I went on to also graduate from the 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training program at the Forest Academy, specializing in the link between Yoga and it’s sister science Ayurveda. I now teach the Yoga Teacher Training program with the Forest Academy as well as teach public yoga classes at Serenity Yoga studio in Woodstock.

My love for Yoga and for teaching continues to grow and I feel very blessed to have had so many wonderful opportunities given to me. Namaste.

I had been doing yoga on and off for the past 15 years, but it wasn't until the past couple of years where I really devoted more time to a daily yoga practice. By doing so, my experience with chronic neck pain was alleviated, and the feeling of inner peace and happiness grew. In the Fall of 2008 I decided to take the 200 hr Yoga teacher training through the Forest Academy of Mind Body Medicine, to learn more about the philosophy of yoga and the postures as well.

My training through the Forest Academy helped deepen my practice and my love for yoga. Through my journey I learned that yoga along with meditation are essential for balancing my mind, body & spirit. My desire to teach yoga, simply comes from my wish to help others find balance in their lives.

Another passion of mine is whole food and its many benefits it provides to our mental and physical well being. This passion led me to the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition where I recently completed my schooling as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and expanded my understanding about how food works with our bodies and how to use nutrition to help correct the root cause of our symptoms.
